Website Terms
These terms were last updated in November 2021, and may be updated again should my products or services change. Please make sure you familiarise yourself with these terms – by continuing to use the Jackdaw Editorial website you are agreeing to these terms.
These terms and conditions apply to www.jackdaweditorial.com (the “Website”) which is operated by Jen Feroze as a sole trader. I can be contacted on email at: jen@jackdaweditorial.com, or by post at 30 Chalkwell Park Drive, Leigh on Sea, Essex, SS9 1NJ. For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions, “you” shall be the person accessing the Website and “I” “me” or “my” refers to Jackdaw Editorial.
These conditions refer to the www.jackdaweditorial.com website, my writing services (available to clients all over the world) and sales made through the website shop (available to UK customers only). If you do not agree to any of these terms, you should discontinue your use of the site immediately.
GENERAL USE OF THE WEBSITE
You confirm that you are over 18 years of age. You agree to the lawful use of the www.jackdaweditorial.com website. You confirm that you’ll use it in a way that does not either damage the website or cause damage or infringement to any other user’s enjoyment or use of the website.
The content of www.jackdaweditorial.com is the copyrighted property of Jen Feroze, unless expressly stated otherwise. You, or any third party, must not copy, reproduce, modify, share or distribute any part of this website and its content without written permission from me.
I reserve the right to change or remove content from www.jackdaweditorial.com at any time – without notice. This may include products listed in the shop or any/all of my writing services. These terms and conditions continue to apply to any modified version of the Website that may appear unless it is expressly stated otherwise.
COMMUNICATION
Full details of the ways in which I collect and store your personal information can be found in the Privacy Notice. It’s another hoot and a half of a document, but it includes some really important information so please do give it a read. Your use of the website assumes that you have read and understood both these terms and those set out in the Privacy Notice.
COPYWRITING AND POETRY TERMS OF SERVICE
Each job I undertake will be charged on a fixed fee basis, and for Brand Story and Poetry service clients this fee will include an initial draft and two rounds of amends if required. For Editorial Review clients this will include a Zoom call of at least 60 minutes and a follow up pdf action plan.
Fees will be quoted in GBP (£) but my writing services are available to international clients.
All services apart from The Brand Story require payment to be made in full at the time of booking. The Brand Story service requires a 50% payment at the time of booking, with the remaining 50% due on delivery of a first draft.
In all writing service bookings, copyright of the work I produce will be passed to you once I have received full and final payment and once the work has been approved by you in writing.
Delivery schedules will be agreed with you on a project by project basis.
Please refer to the individual Editorial Services Agreement that will be sent to you via email when you decide to book for full terms and conditions and details of the work to be done on your specific project.
